In the News
- Recruitment: is truly a year round process at Mother Mu. It begins in earnest early in the Spring semester during the winter months. It is important that alumni submit Recruitment Recommendations and that potential new members state their interest early on and get a letter of recommendation from an alumnus or active member in advance, so they can get on the rush list and be kept informed of recruitment events throughout the winter, spring and summer months. For more information, visit the Rush page on the main menu above, or send an e-mail to the following: rush.alabama.mu@saeepsilon.org/mu (click the e-mail address to the left for the required information).
- ROLL TIDE!! Alabama wins BCS Championship Game in the Allstate Sugar Bowl!! For the second time in three years, the Alabama Crimson Tide has won the BCS National Championship Game. Played at the Superdome in New Orleans on January 9th, the Tide shut out LSU 21 - 0. The Tide end their 2011 season 12-1, led by quarterback A.J. McCarron, while the Tigers end their season 13-1. Three Mother Mu brothers are on the championship Tide team: Tyler Love (OL), Wilson Love (DL) and Cade Foster (Place Kicker). A hearty FA to the Tide team members and this one's for you Tuscaloosa!

- Tornado Relief: Our members were highly involved with tornado relief after the devastating April 27, 2011, EF-4 (nearly EF-5) storms which rocked the city of Tuscaloosa. Days after the storm, our members put in over 1,000 labor hours doing whatever we could to help rebuild the city. In response to the devastation, our chapter started a fund to help with the school's rebuilding efforts. With the help of alumni, we were able to contribute more than just manpower to the cause. A Realm-wide effort was announced by Billy Bailey '09, Jesse Blount '12 and John McElrath '03. Click here UA Tornado Relief Effort & Donation to read more and find out how you can help out and donate to those who were affected by these storms. All members of the chapter were okay and the fraternity house at 432 University Blvd. was thankfully spared and sustained no damage.
