  • 225 attend Parents Weekend Dinner (largest ever) at Alabama Mu on April 8th. Chapter presents check for $8,500 to Christopher Reeves Paralysis Foundation from charity softball game with Alpha Tau Omega fraternity.
  • Three in province receive "Order of the Phoenix" (SAE's highest undergraduate award). J. Ford Canale, William R. Davis and Taylor A. Williams (all from Alabama Mu) were awarded this distinction recently for their extensive planning and support efforts associated with the Sesquicentennial Celebration.
  • Three in province receive special "Certificate of Appreciation" from Merit Key Society. Daniel M. Cenci (FLAL/ALMU), Daniel H. Gladding (MDSI) and W. Maury Lyon (ALMU) were awarded this distinction recently for special services rendered during the Sesquicentennial Celebration.
  • Alabama Mu awarded "Helping Hand Award" by NAACP for donation of 10 bicycles in University of Alabama Community Service project.
  • Province Epsilon Awards for 2006 were presented at the Biennium Province Convention on March 12th. Click here for a complete list of award recipients.
  • Honorary "Order of the Lion" awarded to Jim Deas, long time House Director and Chapter Advisor at Mother Mu during Friday night province reception at Sesquicentennial Celebration.
  • The Sesquicentennial Celebration is now over and was an unprecedented success. Thanks to the 700+ alumni, members and guests who made the trek to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and to everyone who helped make this a fantastic celebration of our 150th anniversary.
