Nearly 4,500 Living SAE Alumni in Alabama and the western Florida panhandle |
Sigma Alpha Epsilon was founded upon the core principles of truth, honor and friendship. The True Gentleman is our creed which further annunciates our committment to these principles and provides a pathway to lifetime membership and brotherhood. Province Epsilon has a large number of SAE alumni living within the State of Alabama and western panhandle of Florida (nearly 4,500). Over the years, 12 Alumni Associations have been chartered to support the activities, events and camaraderie of our alumni members. The Auburn Area Alumni Association* will soon be our newest chartered alumni association in the province.
Since the new Millennium, our province has split off from the State of Georgia, and in 2006, acquired the western panhandle of Florida. It has evolved with new leadership, direction and goals. One of the primary goals is the rejuvenation of alumni associations throughout the region, with at least one annual event to be held to recognize alumni and volunteers in their region who contribute and remain faithful as loyal sons of Minerva.
There are two types of chartered alumni associations: an area alumni association and a chapter alumni association. The first type (area) is established with the goal of providing activities, events and support for alumni within a certain geographical region (normally defined by a U.S.P.S. Zip Code range). This association type is for all SAE alumni (from any chapter) who reside within the region (although no formal barriers exist). The second type (chapter) is established with the goal of providing activities, events and support for a specific chapter (although nothing prevents alumni from other chapters from participating).
Following are the various alumni associations within the State of Alabama and western panhandle of Florida, including contact information. Our province is always looking for additional volunteers who can help foster the rebirth and growth of our various alumni associations, serve on the Province Council and/or assist with one or more of our active chapters. Please contact the Province Alumni Secretary or Province Archon (using the "Contact Information" button on the left) if you wish to volunteer or for more information.
